Kelly Clarkson was an American artist and songwriter who was America's Sweetheart after winning American Idol during the very first season of the series. Not only was she a star after the win and she got a record deal with RCA Records 19 Recordings & S Records for a variety of albums. Since then she has released several studio albums, three of which reached the top on the US Billboard 200' chart and the rest of her albums just fell short of the top spot. She is among the top performers who came out of American Idol. She began to experiment with themes and songs as her success grew. With her distinct voice and unique skills, she earned high praise and various distinctions. The most notable is that she was awarded the Grammy Award three times. In addition to her musical professional career, she has also appeared on television and in films. She also wrote the children's book River Rose and the Magical Lullaby as well as been involved with several charities.
