Lisa Edelstein is an American actress, best known for her role on the Fox medical drama, House. In a strictly Jewish upbringing, Lisa Edelstein was able to move from Wayne to New York City when she was 18 to attend Tisch School of the Arts. She quickly became part of the club scene in New York. Her performances were so good that even local media took notice. She used both her training in music and fame to create and star in a brand new musical called Positive Me. In the following months, she got the job of MTV, hosting Awake in the Wild Side. After Awake on The Wild Side stopped airing, she started acting in films and on television, initially in short roles. Gradually, her career as an actor increased.
