Anita Ekberg was a Swedish actor, and appeared in several European as well as American films. Most famously, she is known for her role in La Dolce Vita in the comedy-drama film. In the year 1960, the film was awarded the Golden Palm and an Oscar from the Cannes Film Festival. The film also received commercial and critical success. Before she began her career in acting The Swedish-born actress was employed as a fashion model for international magazines. Eventually, she won the Miss Sweden Contest. In the US She began appearing in films with small roles. She was the Venusian Guard in 'Abbott and Costello's Go To Mars. It was her debut credit part. In the same year, she received with the Golden Globe in the category of 'Most Outstanding Newcomer' for her role in the movie Blood Alley. She appeared in several other films over the course of her career. This includes the War Drama between Italy and America 'War and Peace,' The Western Film "Valerie" as well as the British Adventure Crime Film 'The Man Inside,' and"The Dam On The Yellow River," the French and Italian drama The Dam on the Yellow River.
